The entrepreneur Franc Gajšek began its by business career in Wien, Austria with a company Facig Gesellschaft Wien which dealt with computer hardware. He later dealt mostly in takeovers and acquisitions of the companies in Slovenia and former Yugoslavia. As an active shareholder and owner he was involved in financial and business restructuring of those (mostly troubled) companies.

In 2001 he became an owner of Metalka Trgovina and in 2010 with his company Facig Wien he published a successful takeover bid to acquire 100 % ownership. His companies are also partial owner of financial companies Medvešek Pušnik holding (MP Naložbe d.d.) and Alta d.d. (brokerage and investment funds management). In 2007 the company Labod konfekcija Novo mesto d.d joined the group. The companies in the group have several immovables in Ljubljana, Slovenia and abroad.
